Dictionary.com has revealed its Word of the Year, and it is a phrase thatGen Alphawill instantly recognize.

辞书网站Dictionary.com公布了它的年度词汇,而此次的获选词组,Z世代的小一又友们一定会坐窝认出来。

The website announced Oct. 28 that after narrowing down its shortlist of nominees, the word, or term, of 2025 is “67.”

该网站在 10 月 28 日晓示,流程层层筛选后,2025 年的年度词汇是“67”。

Every year, the website chooses a word or phrase that reflects “pivotalmoments in language and culture.”Dictionary.com 每年王人会评比出一个最能代表往日“话语与文化关键时刻”的词或短语。

It’s no surprise “67” was selected as the viral phrase haspopped upall over TikTok. The slang was even the focus of a recent sketch on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” where the host and singer Charlie Puth repeated the phrase while pretending to be two live streamers.

“67” 的入选其实并不令东谈主不测——这个鸠合热梗早已在 TikTok 上落拓刷屏。以至连好意思国脱口秀节目《整夜秀》最近也以此为题,主合手东谈主吉米·法伦和歌手查理·普斯还效法鸠合主播,一边直播一边叠加这句“67”,激励不雅众爆笑。

The origin of this most modern use of 67 is thought to be a song called “Doot Doot (6 7)” by Skrilla. (This is an opportune moment to mention that you may also see it written as 6 7, 6-7, or six-seven, but the most important thing is to never pronounce it as “sixty-seven.”)

“67”这个最新用法的发祥,被以为来自嘻哈歌手Skrilla的一首歌——《Doot Doot (6 7)》。(这里要尽头提示一下,这个梗的写法有好多种:6 7、6-7或six-seven王人不错,但千万别读成“sixty-seven”)

It was quickly reinforced by viral TikToks featuring basketball players and a young boy who will forevermore be known as the “67 Kid.” Within weeks, teachers were trading tips online about how to get their students to stop saying 67 all day long.

随后,这个梗很快被多样TikTok 爆款视频推向了飞扬——尤其是一些篮球畅通员的视频,还有一个男孩,因为反复喊“six seven”而成了鸠合红东谈主,被称为“67小孩(67 Kid)”。没过几周,连淳厚们王人在网上相互疏浚申饬:“怎么才略让学生别一天到晚喊‘67’啊?”

要是你要问67,到底是什么情理? Dictionary.com的官方阐扬注解是这样的:

What does 67 mean? Well…it’scomplicated. Some say it means “so-so,” or “maybe this, maybe that,” especially when paired with its signature hand gesture where both palms face up and move alternately up and down.

“67”到底是什么情理?嗯……这个问题有点复杂。有东谈主说,它大要默示“就那样吧”或者“差未几、平稳啦”的情理——尤其是配上它记号性的手势算作:双手掌心进取,瓜代高下舞动,看起来像是在说“就这样”。

Some youngsters, sensing an opportunity to reliablyfrustratetheir elders, will use it to stand in for a reply to just about any question. (“Hello, darling child, how was school today?” “67!”)

还有一些年青东谈主,察觉到这不错“整蛊”大东谈主,于是干脆把它当周密能回应。比如:“宝贝,今天在学校过得怎么样啊?”“67!”

这样败兴的梗,为什么会在外网火啊!我真实不睬解......

不外看到酬酢媒体X(蓝本的Twitter)上也有网友吐槽看不懂,我就宽心了:

我仍是不太显明阿谁“67”到底是什么情理

什么技能67酿成一个词汇了?
